538,138. Draught stabilizers for flues. HOARE, Ltd., J., and HOARE, W. J. March 4, 1940, Nos. 4012, 4013 and 4014. [Class 51 (i)] A draught stabilizer for flues comprises a pivoted counter-weighted door b, b' adapted to open inwardly or outwardly when the pressure in the flue is less or greater than atmospheric pressure. The door has a hinged counterweighted flap m adapted to open inwardly provided in the part b' which is inclined as shown to the part b. The upper part of the door has a pivoted pawl j which engages with a catch l adapted to yield when the door is moved inwardly or outwardly upon the application of sufficient pressure to the door. The counterweight h is adjustable and is mounted on an adjustable arm f. The counterweight o on the flap m is also adjustable. Specification 373,814 is referred to.
