533,891. Windscreen wipers. SOC. ANON. A. CITROEN. Dec. 11, 1939, No. 31986. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1938. [Class 138 (i)] The blade can slide along the operating arm and is connected with a link which is pivoted at a point lower than the arm pivot whereby the blade wipes a wider area. As shown, the arm 3, along which the blade 8 slides, is pivoted at 4 and is connected to a link 9 which is pivoted at 10, the area traversed by the blade being shaded. In a modification, the link may have a T head and pivot alternately about the ends of the cross piece. A resilient abutment may be provided at the end of the stroke to facilitate the return.
