Abstract

533,637. Vaporizers. ASLEN, D. E. Aug. 9, 1939, No. 22951. [Class 81 (i)] [Also in Group XI] A vaporizing device for sterilizing &c. comprises a tube 4 filled with glass wool or other capillary substance, dipping into a body of liquid in a vessel 3 on which the tube is secured in a mounting 11, 13 and an electric heating coil 8 surrounding the upper part of the tube. A head 14 having an opening covered by gauze &c. 17 is provided for outlet of the generated vapour. In a modification the tube 4 is closed at its lower end which itself forms the liquid container.
