532,953. Lubricants. RUDGE, A. J., SNOW, C. I., and IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 2, 1939, No. 22466. [Class 91] Lubricants for use under extreme pressure and/or high speed conditions comprise a lubricating oil and thio-phosphoryl chloride. 0.1-10.0 per cent. of the chloride is suitable. There may be added soaps or other thickening agents, fatty oils, stabilized oils, and mineral or synthetic oils containing up to 10 per cent. of chlorinated long chain hydrocarbons. In an example, 1 or 41b. of thio-phosphoryl chloride is added to 99 or 96 lb. of gear oil.
