531,944. Spraying fuzible material. BENOIT, F. P. C. Aug. 9, 1939, No. 22954. Convention date, Aug. 11, 1938. [Class 69 (iii)] The spray head of apparatus for projecting sprayed molten material comprises a tubular member 9 through which the material is led around which is a nozzle member 11 for a combustible mixture surrounded by a nozzle 16 for inert gas. The nozzle 16 is formed with a series of grooves 16a and screws on the projector head 1 the arrangement being such that on starting the apparatus gas is delivered only through the grooves 16a but afterwards the nozzle 16 may be unscrewed slightly to produce an adjustable annular sheath of gas. The apparatus is applicable both for apparatus in which metal wire is fed to the nozzle and in which metal powder is employed. Specification 482,692 is referred to.
