Abstract

530,902. Phosphoric acid derivatives of aminobenzenesulphonamide salts. HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE & CO., AKT.-GES., F. July 5, 1939, No. 19577. Convention date, July 29, 1938. [Class 2 (iii)] Compounds having a bactericidal action are prepared by neutralizing phosphoric acid derivatives of 4-amino-benzene sulphonamides with bases which contain at least four carbon atoms and one nitrogen atom and have at least one ring present, the nitrogen atom being either a constituent of a ring or in aliphatic combination or by reacting salts of phosphoric acid derivatives of 4-amino-benzene sulphonamides with salts of such bases. Bases mentioned include quinine, acriflavine or other quinoline and acridine bases. In examples: (1) An aqueous solution of quinine monohydrochloride is reacted with an aqueous solution of the sodium salt of sulphanilamide phosphamic acid to give the quinine salt of sulphanilamide phosphamic acid. (2) The same compound as obtained in example (1) is also obtained by treating an aqueous suspension of quinine with sulphanilamide phosphamic acid. (3) Moist hydroquinine base is neutralized with an aqueous solution of sulphanilamide phosphamic acid. (4) Tyramine hydrochloride and the sodium salt of sulphanilamide phosphamic acid are reacted in aqueous solution to effect salt formation. (5) Emetine base is reacted in an aqueous medium with sulphanilamide phosphamic acid to give the corresponding salt. (6) Hordenine sulphate and sulphanilamide phosphamic acid are reacted together to form the sulphanilamide phosphamate of hordenine.
