Abstract

529,559. Mounting terminals. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO.. Ltd., W. T., and CROWE. W. A. T. June 3. 1939. No. 16364. [Class 38 (i)] A contact 4 for a distribution pillar is mounted in an insulator 1 which has an opening 12 for the contact tapered and of such a vertical dimension that the contact after attachment to a stiff cable 9 can move in an arc of a circle when being introduced into the insulator. The extremities of the opening 12 may be parallel sided to fit an enlargement 11 on the contact at one end and a bush 13 at the other. The contact is secured in place by a cross bar 16 and screws 18 that press upon the flange 14 of the bush 13.
