529,193. Corset fastenings. BERGER BROS. CO. May 24, 1939, No. 15412. Convention date, Feb. 28. [Class 141] [Also in Group XXV] A fastening for corsets comprises a headed stud secured near one edge and a loop secured to another edge, the loop being of arch shape in a longitudinal direction. These loops 18 are riveted to a strip 26 which is secured to the lower part of one edge of the corset and engage separate studs 19 carried by flat-plates 20 mounted on the other edge. The arched formation ensures that when the edge of the corset carrying the loops is moved upwards, as shown in Fig. 4, the upper surface of the loop touches the lower surface of the head of the stud and the toe 34 of the loop is forced downwards.
