Abstract
527,680. Packeting-machines. MULLER, J. C. April 19, 1939, No. 11777. Convention date, April 27, 1938. [Class 94 (i)] A packing-machine, particu. larly for packing cigarettes, comprises two adjacent conveyer tracks, b, b' with carriers a, a' for the slides or receptacles, and symmetrically arranged packing devices disposed alongside one another and laterally of the tracks. The slides are fed fron opposite sides by plungers g, g past folders h, h<SP>1</SP> for turning up the lateral edges. An idle position k, k<SP>1</SP> follows to allow room for adjustment of the folders h, h<SP>1</SP> for broader pack ages. At positions m, m<SP>1</SP> cigar ettes are introduced into the shells, and, after further idle stations, cards are introduced at n, n<SP>1</SP>. The end flaps are folded up, and at o, o<SP>1</SP> the filled slides are moved laterally outwards into shells and-stacked at p, p'. The drive for the devices may be derived from a common longitudinal shaft in the middle of the machine, or from a shaft at one side, the individual devices g, g' being offset step-wise to provide room for the transmission members.
