[Class 142 (iv)] [Also in Groups XXIII, V and XVIII] A process for producing from rubber or other appropriate plastic material, door-mats, cash-mats, or other articles with projecting elements, comprises the squirting of a plastic mass 6, through a perforated element 1 by a piston 8 so as to produce projections 6<SP>1</SP> forming bristles or the like. The plastic mass 6 may be hot or cold. A protecting plate 7 is placed beneath the piston 8 and remains together with the element 1 an integral part of the brush or other article. During squirting, the element 1 is held in a support 3.
