490,124. Brushes. LEMOINE, H. G. Jan. 19, 1938, No. 1786. [Class 19] An artificial bristle for brush-making of the type comprising a core of artificial silk &c. coated with synthetic resin b, Fig. 1, is characterized by the core being of one or more straight threads a. The thread or threads may be maintained under tension during coating. The threads may be in contact with one another or as at c in Fig. 4 may be each coated with resin then embedded in the same d or a similar material. In the case of a multiple core, certain elements could be replaced by metallic threads.
