Abstract

526,605. Eyecaps for optical instruments. BARR & STROUD, Ltd., STRANG, J. M., and FOSTER, C. March 22, 1939, No. 9032. [Class 97 (i)] An eyecap C for an optical instrument comprises a flexible tubular part 2 capable of occupying a normal position, as in Fig. 1, or of being folded over a part 1, as in Fig. 2. The part 2 may be conical, the part 1 may grip the eyepiece tube B, an internal annular rib 3 may bear on the eyepiece tube, and a groove 4 may facilitate folding.
