Abstract

[Also in Group XXVI] In a friction grip for connecting relatively adjustable concentric members, means are provided for keeping the component parts in juxtaposition until the inner member is withdrawn from the outer. The spring sleeve 5 housed within the outer member 2 and embracing the inner tube 1 rests on two segmental members 7 located in grooves 6 in the member 2 and confined therein by the tube 1. The sleeve 5 may be lined with material protecting the tube 1 from scratches.
