[Class 133] The mouth closure of a bag or like receptacle comprises a rigid frame member to the ends of which are hinged shorter rigid elements which are mutually connected by one or more spring blades, one or both ends of the blade or blades being slidably attached to the corresponding rigid elements, the hinged elements and the blade or blades being adapted to collapse against the frame in the closed position of the device. Fig. 1 shows a simple form in which a single spring blade 7 is slidably attached at both ends to hinged members 5 by means of studs 8 engaging slots 6; the arrangements can be in duplicate, a similar set of parts being provided at the opposite face of the frame 1. Fig. 2 shows a form in which the blade 15 is attached to intermediate rigid members 13 which are themselves slidable over the hinged members 5. Fig. 4 shows a form in which a pair of spring blades 7 are provided, the inner ends being non-slidably secured to a rigid piece 22. Fig. 9 shows a form in which the frame 28 and the hinged members 29, 30 are of curved form, the parts 29, 30 being dished at 34, Fig. 12, to accommodate stop springs 35 riveted to the ends of the blade 31. A similar construction may be provided at each side of a hollow frame 41, Fig. 16, which carries an ornamental part 42 adapted to cover the upper faces and the ends of the closure elements F1, F2.
