Abstract

523,639. Mattresses. MORRIS, W. E., and MORRIS, E. A. W. Jan. 11, 1939, No. 986. [Class 52 (iv)] The springs 1 in an assembly for chairs or mattresses are arranged in lines and the end of each spring remote from the supporting surface terminates in at least one complete coil 5 surrounding an eyelet 6 which may be made from the spring-end. Adjacent springs in a line are joined by tension springs 7 anchored to such coils, while the eyelets 6 serve as anchoring means for straps 11 connecting springs in adjacent lines. Preferably the anchoring' coils are made of two convolutions.
