522,051. Vehicle bodies. BISHOP, W. H. Dec. 5, 1938, No. 35337. [Class 108 (i)] A vehicle roof with a sliding panel 18 adapted to uncover an opening in the roof is formed with a hollow longitudinal rib 11 on the roof 36 and the sliding panel has a part 39 with head 40 projecting into the hollow rib and guided therein. Friction material 41 on the head 40 locks with the flanges 38 when the part 39 is drawn downwardly. Lateral extensions 16 of the rib 11 are carried down at the back of the rear light 15 and serve to house direction indicators.
