[Class 80 (ii)] In a flexible member for attachment by bolts e to coupling flanges g, and comprising rubber a bonded to metal plates b, c each formed with a series of holes which are alternately of large and small diameter, the apertures in the rubber block are of the large diameter and have the bolt heads arranged wholly therein with sufficient clearance for a socket wrench. The rubber may be of wedge form. Bosses e<2> or a continuous proud annulus may be arranged in the way of the apertures, and washers may be arranged on the bolts between the flanges and the metal plates.
