Abstract
521,173. Slipping couplings. BOSCH GES., R. Nov. 11, 1938, No. 32798. Convention date. Dec. 13, 1937. [Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVI] A centrifugal governor comprises weights 10 carried by a sleeve 9 mounted on a sleeve 22 secured to the driving shaft 3. The drive is transmitted through a slipping coupling, comprising an annular spring 25 tensioned radially and engaging the sleeve 9, and having a projection 26 engaging a recess in the sleeve 22. Alternatively the spring may be in three portions, each having a projection. In a modification the ends of the spring engage a projection 28 on the sleeve 22.
