[Class 98 (ii)] In the production of coloured, especially colour developed, reversed images in a photographic element having either (a) three differently colour-sensitized emulsion layers all on one side or distributed between the two sides of a support, (b) two layers of which one contains a mixture of two differently coloursensitized emulsions as described in Specification 500,611, or (c) a single layer containing three differently colour-sensitized emulsions and also containing metallic silver images in some or all of the layers and light-sensitive silver salt images in some or all of the layers, the shadow effect of the silver image or images is prevented in the second exposure of one or more of the silver salt images by the use for the second exposure of ultra violet light within the wave band 305 to 325 ÁÁ, which may be obtained by passing ultra-violet light from a source giving a line or continuous spectrum through a layer of coherent silver or silver dispersed in a binder on a support transparent to light of this wave band.
