[Class 108 (ii)] In a motor vehicle having a central tubular chassis frame 1, the wheels are independently mounted on articulated semi-axles 12 .... 15 which are resiliently supported on the frame 1 by means of torsion rods 16...19. The torsion rods 16... 19 may be entirely independent or as shown, comprise two rods only passing at intermediate points through a platform or bracket 26, to which the body is bolted and which is formed of -two halves embracing the frame 1. The engine is supported at the rear of the vehicle, preferably over the rear axles 12, 13 and drives the rear wheels through the intermediary of a chain wheel 28, a single drive shaft 28a, universal joints 31, 32 of the rubber disc type, and axle shafts 29, 30. Additional springs may be inserted directly between the body and semi-axles.
