Abstract

511,805. Electrolytic condensers. FANSTEEL METALLURGICAL CORPORATION. May 5, 1938, No. 13397. Convention date, May 5, 1937. Drawings to Specification. [Class 37] An electrode comprises a self-supporting uniformly homogenous body of fine particles of tantalum, niobium or an alloy of tantalum and niobium sintered together, preferably after having been moulded to shape under pressure The glaze may be removed from the surface in an alkaline bath. A wire or foraminous metallic screen may act as support for the otherwise selfsupporting body. Specification 492,060 is referred to.
