[Class 83 (i)] [Also in Group XXIV] A cast crank shaft, as described in Specification 481,928, having hollow, preferably barrel-shaped, spaces d in the pins which extend into the crank cheeks a<1> and kidneyshaped recesses h<1>, h<2> in said cheeks which may have a lip i' so as to conduct oil via holes f, d, k to the bearing surface of the pin c. The holes f, k, may be connected by a preformed tube which is inserted in the mould before casting and serves to support the core for the space d.
