[Class 91] Motor fuels are mixed with a small amount of a voltolized fatty oil, which has lubricating and gum-solvent properties. Fatty oils such as rapeseed, fish, or sperm oils are treated at temperatures up to 300‹ C., with a high-tension silent electric discharge of up to 50,000 volts under reduced pressure. The viscous polymerized product may be hydrogenated, extracted with solvents such as butyl alcohol, propane, or acetone to obtain a high molecular fraction, or mixed with lubricating oil. Mixtures of fatty oil and mineral oil may be voltolized.
