507,976. Travelling grates. BOSSELMANN, R. July 14, 1938, No. 20960. Convention date, July 14, 1937. [Class 51 (i)] In a travelling chain grate the rods 2 connecting the links of the lateral chains 1 are provided with rollers 6 which run in endless tracks formed by longitudinal rails 7 and U- shape end members 10 which are secured to the ends of the rails by bolts 12 engaging with plates 11 on the U-shape end members projecting between the rails 7. The bolts 12 are mounted on transverse beams 8 secured to the rails 7 and mounted on supporting brackets 9<1> with wheels 9. The grate is driven by chain wheels 15 mounted on a shaft 14 at the front of the grate and supported by bearings in the plates 11.
