506,835. Violin &c. bows. HOGGARD, C. W. Dec. 14, 1937, No. 34541. [Class 88 (ii)] To strengthen the stick without materially adding weight, and to produce adjustable tension on the hair without unduly straightening the curve of the stick, a wire E is stretched between two light clamps A, B, its tension being adjustable by a nut F screwing on a sliding piece D. A guide H also clips the wire to the stick. A screw K acting within the frog takes up slack in the hair.
