504,010. Endless - belt conveyers; wrapping-machines. ROSE, A. G., and ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. May 18, 1938, No. 26858. Divided out of 494,671. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] In a machine for wrapping bread of the type in which a loaf 1 is fed to a platform 3 for subsequent vertical upward movement as described, e.g. in Specification 494,671, a positively moved propping guide plate of a height greater than that of the loaf is retained in abutting engagement with the leading side of the loaf during at least the final portion of its movement on to the platform and during its subsequent vertical movement thereon. The propping guide plate 32, is pivoted with a small degree of free movement to an arm 33 which is carried by a sleeve 34 rotatably mounted on a shaft 50. Rocker arms 35, 36 secured to the sleeve carry rollers 37, 38 which bear on opposite sides of cams rotated from the main drive of the machine.
