502,781. Vacuum cleaners. PATENTVERWERTUNGS-GES. HERMES. Aug. 3, 1938, No. 22982. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1937. [Class 8 (i)] The horizontal casing of a vacuum cleaner contains a filter 9 on which dust is deposited externally and which is located above the axis of the casing. The suction and discharge pipe connections 4, 5 may also be located above the axis. Dust collects in the lower part of the casing and is prevented from falling out through the suction inlet.
