Abstract

502,604. Radiator tube joints. RANDLE, F. Nov. 17, 1938, No. 33387. [Class 99 (i)] A radiator particularly for use in motor vehicles has spaced tanks one of which 11 is shown-and tubes 13 are detachably and flexibly joined to the walls 15 of the tanks by resilient bushes 18 held against shoulders 17 in externally threaded bosses 16 carried by the walls, the bushes being axially compressed when ring nuts 22 are screwed on the bosses. The bosses may bo separate inserts or integral with the wall 15 as shown. Each ring nut has either a projection or a washer 21 which bears on the respective bush.
