Abstract

541,969. Washers. BRISTOW, J. W. April 23, 1941, No. 10217/40 [Class 89 (i)] In a combined nut and washer of the type in which the nut is recessed at 3, to engage with the inturned flange 5 of the washer' to prevent separation of washer and nut whilst permitting relative rotation and avoiding accidental loss, the nut is recessed at 9 to receive a ring 11 of compressible material and the inner edge of the washer is given a substantially square section 10, to engage and compress the ring to lock the nut.
