Abstract

501,591. Air douches. LAVROFF, T. Aug. 27, 1937, No. 23498. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XIII] Apparatus for delivering warm air to beds comprises a hollow air chamber D which is inserted into the bed, and supplied with air by a fan A<1> in a casing A<2> containing a motor A, the air being driven along a tube B, and over a heating ele. ment C into the chamber D. Extensions such as D<1> may be provided, with auxiliary outlet chambers D<2>. The chamber D is provided with outlet nozzles, or may be formed of porous material. The oxygen content of the warmed air may be increased, the oxygen being introduced on the chamber side of the heater. Moisture, vapours, or gases may be added to the air for curative purposes. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 342,964.
