Abstract

501,096. Valve generating circuits. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. March 5, 1938, No. 6920. Convention date, March 5, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] To prevent burning of the screen of a cathoderay tube, the condenser 1 of a relaxation oscillator which is normally discharged over valve 3 is bridged by discharge tube 6 in series with resistance 9. If the synchronizing pulses fail the condenser 1 charges to a potential slightly higher than that normally reached and then the tube 6 breaks down and the condenser discharges over the protective circuit 6, 9 so that the production of oscillations continues and the cathode-ray beam is kept moving. Specification 402,181 is referred to.
