Abstract
500,040. Casting - machines. COMPAGNIE DES FORGES DE CHATILLON, COMMENTRY, & NEUVES-MAISONS. July 1, 1937, No. 18299. Convention date, July 9, 1936. [Class 83 (i)] Molten steel b is cast on a relatively moved, horizontal iron or steel sheet c of equal or lower melting point and the composite sheet rolled at h to ensure adhesion. The sheet c is supported by a conveyer consisting of trough members g. A second sheet d guided by rollers f may be applied to the upper face of the steel band the edges of the strips may be curved or flanged inwardly or side strips i, j, Fig. 4; may be employed to enclose the steel laterally. Specification 437,199 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the vertical arrangement shown in Fig. 5 (Cancelled). This' subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
