Abstract
499,997. Electric signalling systems; automatic control. PAIRARD, P. Dec. 17, 1937, No. 34973. [Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] In a liquid-level indicator of the kind in which the liquid itself completes circuits in turn via insulated electrodes 3 .. 7, as described in Specification 327,597, [Class 38 (v)], these circuits include a common A.C. source and the input terminals of individual full-wave rectifiers 3c .. 7c the output terminals of which are connected to lampcontrolling relays 3b .. 7b. As shown, a distant set of lamps 3R .. 7R is energized in parallel with the local set 3a .. 7a. At the upper and lower limits of the indicator, a buzzer 21 is actuated. When the lamp 4a is extinguished a relay winding 35a is energized to switch on the pump motor at contact 30 and prepare the circuit of a winding 38a which switches off the pump motor when lamp 6a lights. The lamps are housed in separate compartments of a casing with translucent walls.
