Abstract

499,673. Seat frames. BUNN, C. W. Aug. 27, 1937, No. 23579. [Class 52 (ii)] A side support or pedestal for seats, particularly vehicle seats, comprises a frame 5 of pressed sheet or strip metal and a covering 6 of sheet metal over the frame 5, the latter being formed with a foot portion, a seatsupporting portion, and a portion 7 for the attachment of a seat back. Bracing strips 14 may be provided. The covering sheet 6 has a flanged edge 15 fitting over and secured to the frame 5, and may be pressed or corrugated to form an ornamental pattern and to stiffen it.
