Abstract
499,498. Warp beams. McVEIGH, W. B., and HIBBERT, H. M. July 24, 1937, No. 20524. [Class 142 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIV] A warp beam comprises a barrel 3 formed with a row of radial holes 9 along its length, a flange 10 movable along the barrel and having a boss 11 serrated as at 14 and formed with a radial hole 12 elongated in the direction of the length of said barrel, a bolt or like member 13 adapted to pass through the hole 12 into a hole 9 in the barrel, and a washer 15 with a serrated face engaging with the serrations on the boss, so as to allow the flange to be secured in finely-adjusted position on the barrel. The barrel may have a plurality of rows of holes and the boss a corresponding number of bolts. The warp beam may be made of wood supported on a metal shaft 4, and formed with metal sleeves 7.
