[Class 142 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIV] An exteriorly - screw - threaded split sleeve B is clamped on the beam and an interiorlyscrew - threaded split boss c integral with the flange C is screwed on to the sleeve and secured thereto by tightening a bolt &c. passing through the ears c<1>. In a modification the boss c is separate from the flange but secured thereto by bolts. The split sleeve B may be made more secure by providing a locking pin a<1> engaging in one of a series of holes a drilled in the ends of the (hollow) beam and secured by grub screw a<2>.
