Abstract

498,705. Slicing-machines. BERKEL & PARNALL'S SLICING MACHINE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. (Maatschappij van Berkel's Patent N.V.) Oct. 13, 1937, No. 27788. [Class 28 (ii)] In a slicing-machine clamp of the kind wherein one end of the clamp bar is pivotally mounted and the other end has an adjustable telescopic attachment, comprising a slaeve element and a rod element, whereby the clamp is supported in any required angular setting, a dirt-excluding shield surrounds the rod element and is adapted to receive the sleeve element in its movements relatively to the rod. As shown, the clamp bar 3 is pivoted to a sleeve 4 adjustable on the post 5. The shield 8 is closed at one end by a cap 9 which is pivoted at 10 to the sleeve 4, the rod 7 being screwed into the cap 9. The sleeve element 6 is locked, in known manner, to the rod 7 by an interposed divided bush 11.
