Abstract

520,698. Beer engines. HEATH, Ltd., W. H., and GRAVES, K. H. Oct. 27, 1938, No. 31105. [Class 102(i)] In a beer engine, the operating lever 12 is pivoted at 14 on the bracket 11 by which the pump 1 is secured to the bar counter or the like 6, and the piston rod 7 is secured to a block 10 slidable within a tubular member 8 which is clamped to the pump 1 and to the bracket 11, the arcuate portion of the lever 12 extending through slots in the member 8 and block 10, so as to reciprocate the block 10 and the piston rod 7. The block 10 may be provided with adjustable spring-pressed balls 15 or the like to engage the lever 12.
