496,505. Covers for resisting fluid pressure. JIFFY AUTOMATIC CLOTHES WASHER CO., Ltd., and SIMPSON, J. A. June 26, 1937, No. 17806. [Class 123 (i)] In an inspection-cover having two elliptical dished plates A, B on opposite sides of the inspection opening and secured together by a bolt and nut F, the end of the bolt, which is welded or otherwise attached to the lower plate A, is cut away on opposite sides to leave a portion f indicating the position of the lower plate before screwing the plates together. The lower plate may have further securing bolts K which pass through holes in the edge of the opening and in the upper plate and engage nuts L. The lower plate is held in position while securing the plates by a wire passed through a hole f<2> in the end of the bolt F.
