Abstract

391,829. Switch cases. REYROLLE & CO., Ltd., A., Hebburn-on-Tyne, ALLAN, A., Cragside, Ashleigh Grove, and LEESON, B. H., Waverley, both in Tynemouth. Nov. 5, 1931, No. 30668. [Class 38 (v).] A circuit-breaker tank or other casing liable to heavy internal pressure is secured to its top plate or over A, Fig. 1, by bolts or studs C provided with cup-like frangible washers D, preferably weakened at D<1>, D<2>; a pad F of cork or like material may be provided. Internal pressure breaks the washers and permits the tank parts to separate. The washers may be deeper to accommodate a return spring F, Fig. 3, and a flat washer G weakened at G<1>, G<2> provided. The casing may be above and resting on its cover.
