Abstract
494,892. Ball mills. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F. July 11, 1938, No. 20539. Convention date, Aug. 23, 1937. [Class 59] In wet grinding an oscillating container 1 containing grinding elements 5 is connected to a separating tank 6 and an upward current of liquid is caused to flow through the elements to carry the fines into the tank and over the edges thereof into a launder 12. The container is resiliently supported on springs 4 and is oscillated by an eccentric 2. The tank 6 is fixed and is connected to the container by rubber walls 7. A screen 11 is placed over the liquid inlet 8 and a sieve may be placed at the bottom of the tank 6. The liquid inlet may be attached to a double bottom of the container, the container wall being perforated for the passage of jets of liquid.
