[Class 97 (i)] In a device including a glass plate for imaging, by means of microscope or a projection apparatus, an opaque object illuminated in incident light, the glass plate c is disposed between the light source b and the object a in such a manner that the illuminating rays traverse the plate and the imaging rays are deviated by the surface e of the plate. The surface e is covered by a transparent reflecting layer, which preferably consists of zinc sulphide.
