Abstract

489,998. Advertising-models. FRENCH, W. J., and BRITISH COLOUR PRINTING CO., Ltd. March 29, 1938, No. 9562. [Class 3 (ii)] An advertising device forming a representation of an article such as a bottle or jar, comprises a.show-card bearing a pictorial representation of the article covered by a pre-formed hollow body formed of flexible transparent material and showing the article as seen in perspective, the said body being secured by lugs thereon passing through slits in the show-card and secured against the back thereof. The Figure shows an embodiment in which a celluloid sheet 2 simulating a glass jar as seen in perspective is secured by lugs 3 on a show-card 1 over a picture of the jar filled with marmalade. The picture may be treated with a glossy transparent varnish and the portion of the showcard behind the sheet 2 may be embossed. The inner or outer surface of the sheet 2 may be provided with a mat or coloured surface.
