864,671. Signs. CLAUDE-GENERAL NEON LIGHTS Ltd. Oct. 13, 1958 [Oct. 11, 1957], No. 31865/57. Class 3(1) An illuminated sign adapted to change appearance according to the position of an observer comprises a transluscent sheet 9 having inclined stripes 11 and a transparent sheet 8 having oppositely inclined stripes 10. The stripes 10, 11 may be of contrasting colours and form a background for display matter provided on the front or rear surface of the screen 8. The display matter may take the form of an opaque coating on the screen 8 or constitute a transparent region of the screen or two similar regions left uncoated on the screens 8, 9. Again the display matter may take the form of a stencil or character placed over the front of the device,(see Figs. 3 and 4 not shown).
