[Class 118 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIX] In apparatus for the reception of sound vibrations comprising a vibratable body which, by means of a " counter-contact " member, produces current impulses for the actuation of an electrical signalling device, the body consists of a metallic diaphragm which carries and forms the supporting means for one or more springs tuned to definite rates of vibration. The springs 2, 3, 4, which may be tuned to the same frequency or to different frequencies, are formed by steel wires or as leaf springs and contact, during the vibration of the diaphragm 1, with an inclined spring wire 5 which is tuned to a frequency related to that of the diaphragm or of one of the springs 2, 3, 4. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the co-operating contact member is constituted by springs mounted on a diaphragm forming an arrangement similar to that described in connection with the vibrated diaphragm 1 and the springs 2, 3, 4.
