[Class 39 (i)] A photo-electric screen is made by evaporating insulating-material, e.g. quartz to form a thin layer on a metal plate, and then applying to the insulating-material a layer adapted to store electric charges, e.g. a photo-electric layer capable of secondary emission. The screen is mounted in a cathode-ray tube for television transmission.
