[Class 40 (iii)] The line frequency oscillator is coupled to the deflecting plates or coils over a circuit which passes the frame frequency. The cessation of line impulses during a frame impulse, causes the line oscillator to produce oscillations of greater amplitude which introduce a frame frequency component in the train of line oscillations and this component must be passed to the deflecting means if the first few lines of each scan are not to be displaced.
