Abstract

428,926. Television receivers. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ, 12, Place des Etats-Unis, Montrouge, Seine, France. Jan. 30, 1935, No. 3091. Convention date, Jan. 31, 1934. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii)] In a cathode-ray receiver, a high-frequency oscillation of small amplitude is superimposed on the image-frequency scanning oscillation, so that the cathode ray performs rapid vertical oscillations along each line. The apparent thickness of the line is thereby maintained constant ; and striations, produced by variations in the size of the spot due to modulation, are avoided. The high-frequency oscillation may be the radio-frequency carrier used for transmission, or the local oscillations of a super-heterodyne receiver.
