488,547. Tubes. PRICKETT, H. R. Jan. 1, 1937, No. 16803/38. Divided out of 488,204, [Group XI]. [Class 99 (ii)] A tube a, for concealing the flex of electric-light pendants, i: formed with a longitudinal slit a<1> to permit of its application to the flex and is provided with flexible material to extend across the tube when the latter is ir position. The Figure shows the tube with a covering layer b of paper, metal foil, &c. which extends beyond the slit in the form of a flap b<1> coated with adhesive. The slit may be widened at its ends to facilitate entry of the flex, and, where the edges of the tube come together closely, the flexible material b<1> need extend along part only of the length of the slit. The tube may be provided with a clip for attaching it to the flex.
