Abstract
An electrically-conductive coating is produced on mica by applying particles of one or more difficulty oxidizable metals, e.g. silver, in scale form in a binder consisting substantially of a resin hardenable or condensable at or below 200 DEG C. and then heating to such temperature. The coating may be applied by brushing or spraying. The coated mica may be used in making condensers. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the metal may be copper, nickel, zinc, or any precious metal. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.ALSO:A coating-composition for use on mica for condensers comprises particles of one or more difficultly oxidizable metals, e.g. silver, in scale form in a binder consisting substantially of a resin hardenable or condensable at or below 200 DEG C.
